PAS (Personal Attendant Care Service)
Home Health Aides provides personal assistance to patients to help them recuperate from their medical limitations. This allows our patients to concentrate on healing, while the aide makes sure the home environment is safe and clean.
Blue Mountain Home Health Care Lehigh Valley is licensed by the Pennsylvania State Department of Health to provide medical and non- medical home care services. We provide in- home living assistance for more independent lifestyles in the comfort and safety of patient’s own home by carefully assessing and understanding their needs, and selectively placing trained personnel to meet their needs. We provide short term and long term care.
NON- MEDICAL ASSESSMENTS are conducted to find client’s functioning capabilities, to identify their needs, and to determine what services are required to assist them attain and maintain optimum independence.
NURSING ASSESSMENTS more thoroughly examine and identify health conditions, levels of care required, and appropriate medical interventions. If indicated, co-ordination of care with other healthcare professionals is arranged.
In both situations, assessors may review subsidization possibilities, develop care plans, make referrals, and create service delivery schedules according to client’s wishes.
All of our caregivers are our direct employees. Our care management team, that includes registered nurses and physicians, professionally supervises the care they provide to you or your loved one on an ongoing basis.
At hire we carefully check each employee’s certification, criminal background, and health requirements. We are responsible for worker compensation insurance, the employer portion of FICA (social security taxes), federal withholding taxes, and State unemployment taxes.
This means our clients have complete peace of mind from worries that would have occurred if they hired them privately. Our clients have the safety and the quality care from us with no risk of hidden financial liabilities associated with the work performed by employees. - Reading, writing, walking, and conversation
- Assisting with mail, correspondence, and bills payments
- Assist with medication & appointment reminders
- Transporting to appointments, friends and neighbors, and religious activities
- General Cleaning: Vacuuming, dusting, moping floors, laundry, ironing, changing beds, defrosting refrigerator
- Heavier Cleaning: Spring cleaning, light fixture, and washing windows, caring for plants
- Caring for pets including feeding, cleaning litter boxes, cleaning bird cages, and taking to grooming appointments or to the Vet
- Monitoring and motivating regular diet plans
- Providing respite and palliative care
- Monitoring vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse and respiration
- Assisting with grooming needs; hair care, shaving, cleaning teeth, and routine nail care
- Assisting or supervising with tub baths, shower, and bed baths, toilet, or commode needs
- Skin care; applying lotion to dry skin
- Assisting with dressing and undressing
- Assisting with eating or feeding needs
